What does calcium hydride mean? Calcium Hydride is a chemical compound. The laboratory uses CA, H2 and heat to create CAH2. CAH2 can be described as a compound of an ion. Chinese name for CAH2 is calcium hydroide. The molecular form of CAH2 can be found as CAH2, grey-white blocks or crystals. It has a melting point at 675°C (decomposition). Insoluble for sulfur (1.7), and its primary purpose is to act as a dehydrator, desiccant chemical chemistry analysis reagent.

Functionality and usage of calcium hydride

Seek immediate medical attention. To inhale, quickly get away from the area to breathe fresh air. Do not restrict your respiratory system. If it is hard to breathe, you can give oxygen. Perform artificial respiration immediately if your breathing is difficult. Seek immediate medical attention. Drink milk or egg white to wash your mouth. Consult a doctor immediately. Use water, foam, carbon dioxide or halo-hydrocarbons (such as the 1211 extinguishing agents), instead. For the flames to be able to simmer, you should only use metal covers, dry graphite or dry dolomite.

Method of storage for calcium hydride
You should store your items in a well-ventilated, cool warehouse. Temperature of warehouse must not exceed 32F and relative humidity not exceeding 75%. You must seal the package and keep it dry. The package should be kept separate from acids, alcohols and halogens. Use explosion-proof lighting, and ventilation systems. Use of mechanical equipment or tools which are easily to spark is not permitted. You must ensure that the area is adequately protected from leakage.
