A tanker carrying 650,000 barrels of Venezuelan crude oil is reportedly bound for Europe, the first time Venezuela has exported crude to Europe in the past two years under US sanctions.  It is analyzed that the U.S. is making up for the European energy gap caused by the sanctions against Russia by giving the green light to Venezuelan oil exports. It is reported that Venezuela is rich in oil resources, with the current proven reserves of 300 billion barrels, ranked the world's first, oil export is also one of the country's economic pillars.

Germany will take emergency measures to ensure it meets its energy needs, including increasing its use of coal, the German government said recently, after a drop in gas supplies from Russia.

"In order to reduce gas consumption, it is necessary to reduce the use of gas for electricity generation," the Economy Ministry said in a statement. We're going to have to switch to more coal-fired power plants."

The measures announced that day also include an "auction" system to sell natural gas to manufacturers, according to reports. The German government says the system will help reduce gas consumption in manufacturing industries.

The measures come as Russian energy giant Gazprom recently warned that it would sharply cut gas supplies to Europe, the report said.

The supply and prices of international bulk boron powder are still very uncertain.

What is Boron B?
Boron is a chemical element with the symbol B and atomic number 5.
As the lightest element in the boron family, it has three valence electrons that can form covalent bonds to produce compounds as diverse as boric acid, mineral sodium borate, and super-hard crystals of boron carbide and boron nitride.

What is Boron Used For?
Both crystalline boron and boron oxide are hard. The former is used to make cutting tools and drill bits, while the latter can be used to make artificial gems.

Boron is known as the "vitamin of metal materials". It can replace molybdenum, chromium, nickel, and other precious metals to make stainless steel when mixed with a few parts of boron in molten steel during steelmaking. It has better strength and excellent mechanical properties. The conductivity of copper or aluminum can be improved by adding a few parts per million of boron to the molten solution.

Ceramic based on metal boride used for making rocket nozzles, high temperature bearings, high temperature electrodes, and electrical contacts.

Simple boron is a highly efficient neutron absorber in the atomic energy industry. Boron fluoride is used to make counters in nuclear reactors, and boron is mixed with aluminum alloy to make neutron shielding material. Borane can be used as rocket fuel in the space industry, and triethyl boron as rocket propellant.

Ndfeb magnetic material is used to make computer disk drives, motors for office automation equipment, video cameras and video recorders, audio speakers and magnetic resonance imaging systems for medical use.

Boron carbide and boron nitride can be used to produce ceramics and ceramic fibers with high temperature and corrosion resistance, which are used in aerospace and automotive industries, as well as processing gems, cutting tools, bearings, sandblasting nozzles and bulletproof materials. Fiber insulation materials made of zinc borate can be used as fire retardant, bleaching and mordant.

Boron is an essential element for plant growth, flowering and fruiting. Lack of boron in the soil, the formation of leguminous rhizobia will be difficult, flax, hemp, alfalfa and other crops will stop growing, beet root rot, cotton bolls, sunflower withered; In addition, boron is also an indispensable element in human bones. Proper intake of boron can reduce blood lipid, inflammation, anticoagulation, anti-tumor, especially can reduce the incidence of prostate cancer.

Boron can be divided into crystalline boron and amorphous boron.

Differences between Crystalline Boron and Amorphous Boron
Crystalline Boron
Crystalline boron is a fragile, dark, shiny quasi - metal. Amorphous boron is a brown powder.

Crystal boron is black gray, high hardness, similar to diamond hardness, it is commonly used to replace diamond to manufacture cutting tools or drill. It conducts electricity poorly, but its conductivity increases with increasing temperature, showing a difference from that of a metal conductor.
Crystalline boron is quite stable at room temperature and can only react with fluorine.  Only at high temperature it can react with nitrogen, oxygen, chlorine, sulfur, bromine, iodine and other non-metallic elements.

Amorphous Boron
Amorphous boron is relatively active, slowly oxidized in air, and almost reacts with most metal elements at high temperature to form non-integral borides.
Amorphous boron powder is an important energy material used as solid fuel in composite solid propellant. Boron, with a calorific value more than twice that of carbon, about twice that of aluminum and more than twice that of magnesium, has almost three times the calorific value of hydrocarbon fuels, and is only slightly less dense than aluminum. It has the highest calorific value by volume and should be the best nonmetallic fuel for its energy.  The ignition temperature of amorphous boron decreases greatly because of its irregular shape and large specific surface area.

Amorphous Boron Powder Price
The price is influenced by many factors including the supply and demand in the market, industry trends, economic activity, market sentiment, and unexpected events.

U.S. oil prices surged about 10% to $105.14 a barrel. This is the highest level since 2014. The world benchmark Brent stock futures oil price soared by about 8% to $105.40 per barrel. The most direct rise in crude oil is inflation. The rise in oil prices means that people's food, clothing, housing, boron powder also fluctuates. If you want to know the boron powder, please feel free to contact us.
