The chemical formula for titanium hydride (also known as dihydride) is H2Ti. Water is not soluble. The powder has a similar appearance to metal, a grayish-black. Purity: 99%
Particle Size: 5- 10um

Titanium Hydride (TiH2) Powder
Titanium Hydride refers to TiH2 inorganic compound and related nonstoichiometric material. The powder can be bought on the market and used in the production Alnico magnets, metal powders, metal foams, titanium metals powders and pyrotechnics.

Titanium dihydride has a metallic look and is a grayish powder. Two different variants are available with a temperature transition of 37 degrees. The low-temperature state is a face centered tetragonal crystalline system with lattice coefficients a = 0,4528 nm, and c = 0,4279 nm. A tetragonal crystalline system with a constant of 0.4454 is found at >37 degrees. At 20 degrees, the density is 3.9lg/cm3.

TiH1.8 - TiH1.99. Titanium disulfide can exist in a gaseous phase at temperatures above 400°C and decomposes almost completely between 800 and 1000°C. Titanium dihydride, a solid solution that is stable with water and nonoxidizing acids, can be found. It is only oxidized into tetravalent compounds when there is an oxidizing substance present. Titanium hydride has a high brittleness, which is why it is often used to make titanium powder. Titanium hydroide is a hydrogen-rich source that decomposes on heating. In the conversion, titanium hydride for welding is used because, when heated, it decomposes, releasing new hydrogen, and molten Titanium, which promotes welding.

The stability of Titanium Hydride is slowly decomposed by 400 and completely dehydrogenated by 600800 when in vacuum. It is chemically stable, doesn't react with air or water but does with strong oxidants. It won't decompose when used and stored as specified.

Titanium Hydride must be protected from contact with water, humidity, acids, halogens halogenated Hydrocarbons, and oxides. Avoid contact with water. Stable when in the air. Titanium Hydride is not harmful to water. Do not release the material without permission from the government. If you want to purchase Titanium Hydride (TiH2) Powder in bulk, please send us an inquiry.

Titanium Hydride Powder CAS 770498-5 Features and Benefits:
The titanium hydride, TiH2, is relatively stable when exposed to air. It can also be used as a precursor for H2 and titanium.
hydroxide. The reaction of H2 with the titanium metal can produce titanium hydride. Above 300 degC the
The metal titanium is able to reversibly bind H2, forming a compound TiH2. If heated above
At 1000degC the titanium hydride fully breaks down into titanium and H2.

What is Titanium Hydride Powder TiH2 produced?
The production of titanium hydride can be done by electrochemistry or ball milling.
1. In sulfuric acid, titanium dioxide can be reduced directly by calcium hydride or by titanium carbonate.
2. The gas phase is used to remove air from the glass tube. The metal will be heated between 350-400degC and then cooled by the air stream.
Note: For fluorination, it is important to use sulfate that is oxygen-free and very dry. Ti and O2 can be combined to form titanium oxide.
The chemical formula for the titanium hydride obtained by this method is TiH0.5TiH1.5. TiH2 is a bit grayer and less stable than Ti. It almost completely disintegrates when heated up to 8001000degC. TiH2 can't exist by itself. TiH2 is commonly referred to as the solid solution made up of TiH1.8TiH1.99.

Applications Titanium Hydride Powder TiH2 :
Titanium hydride, or TiH2, is a mixture of titanium and hydrogen hydride. The compound is very reactive, and must be kept far away from heat and strong oxidants. Titanium hydride also has a very wide application.
1. The brittleness of titanium hydride makes it a popular ingredient in powdered Titanium.
2. Titanium hydroxide, when heated, decomposes and provides pure hydrogen.
3. The titanium hydride used in welding can also be decomposed when the welding zone heats up, resulting in new hydrogen and titanium molten. The latter can enhance the strength of the welded joint and promote welding.
4. Titanium Hydride Powder is used widely in many industries, including aerospace, medicine and petroleum. It can also be used as a fertilizer, in metallurgy or metallurgy products, for navigation, and nuclear power.
5. Titanium hydride may be used in the preparation of titanium compounds, as catalysts, or as a source for pure H2. It can also be used to create ceramic and glass seals.
6. Titanium coatings are made using titanium hydride.
7. In the electric vacuum method, titanium hydride can be used as a getter. It can also be used to provide titanium alloy powder for metal-ceramic and powder metallurgy.
8. Titanium dihydride acts as a catalyst for polymerization reactions.

Storage Conditions of Titanium Hydroide TiH2 powder
Titanium Hydroide TiH2 is affected by damp reunion, which will have an adverse effect on the powder's dispersion and use. The Titaniumhydride TiH2 must be kept in a dry and cool room. TiH2 Powder should not be exposed to stress.
